In the music world..

As much as I love Chris Brown's music and voice.. I have to say, I'm not impressed! I could not believe it! He beat Rihanna?! I saw a picture, I refused to believe it, but how can you refuse to believe something which has evidence?
What's even more shocking, was the fact that Rihanna took him back?
What message is that sending out to other victims of abuse?

The situation becomes shocking each and every time I hear about it!

So, P Diddy is supporting them, he let them live in a house of his for three weeks.
Rihanna's father is behind her, whatever decision she makes.. What decision has she actually made?
She take's Chris Brown back, but says she'll testify against him.

Oh deary me, what is happening in the world!
To be honest I think she's a bit too loved up with him, claiming he was "the one".
I heard love was pain.. but surely it's not that painful.. is it?

On a much lighter and lovelier note
I recently read an article about Beyonce.
She's never had a break up because this is her first relationship!
I look up to Beyonce so much, such grace and class
It's crazy how she sings about break up's, yet hasn't experienced one?
Jay Z is one lucky guy, wouldn't you agree guys?

Apologies!

For the lack of my "blogging"
I lost my password.. and have been so busy!

But, I'm back ;)

Obama :)

I'm so happy that Obama's taking charge and making a change already!
He's given orders to close Guantanamo bay!

I'd also like to mention that I had seen a photo of him signing with his left hand!
Obama's left handed people.
Irrelevant but it had to be done!
Also, today I was informed that Obama is in his late forties?! He looks 30-odd.

Back to the point about Obama's order to close Guantanamo bay, I think it's fantastic how quickly he is making progress.
I truly believe in Obama, if only he was our president too? Ha ha.
America will not torture! I love it. Go Obama!

Recession

It's frightful how bad the recession is becoming!
I cannot believe that so many people are losing jobs and so many large companies are closing down.
I was reading up on the recession, and so, it's official that the UK is in recession.
Apparently it's the first time since 1991. Just to think, I've been living seventeen years without the danger of decline in the markets etc. and all of a sudden the UK hits recession.. Scary.

PM, Gordon Brown said something along the lines that Britain will fight the recession with "every weapon", I'd like to see our Prime Minister get us out of this?

I do believe that last year people were expecting a recession, but surely not as difficult as it seems it will be?

My question is.. what do we do now?

Eastenders

Oh my gosh!
Well, well, well. What can I say. Eastenders today was absolutely shocking! Hilarious, but shocking!
I'm quite impressed at the openness about the Masoods relationship, however, I do believe there are going to be many, many complaints.

Talking of which, personally I think all this complaining is getting way out of hand. Ever since the palaver in Big Brother, television seems to be getting shot down every time a very insignificant issue arises.
As for Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand, it's in their nature and career to entertain, they're constantly fooling about and joking - that's what the audience wants, is it not? Yet, they were criticised so heavily about their Radio 2 incident. I'm not saying I agree with what they did, but to be so overly criticized? Surely it was blown out of proportion?
I must say I am delighted to know Jonathan Ross is back Friday night's. Unfortunately, I didn't watch it. I think it was the secret fear I had that he would tone down the entertainment...

Back to Eastenders; I'm delighted to see that it's not afraid to hide the fact that all ethnic groups engage in such ;)
I will admit I know that many asians will find this "disgraceful" or "shameful". I'm sorry but that's reality!
It is about time everyone faced it :)

Oo.. this post is a bit controversial, is it not?..cringe!

Obama.. True inspiration?

I just read Obama's inaugural address and I was so drawn to the words he used. "Humbled", "still waters of peace" etc. I really feel Barack Obama can make a change to the world he seems so inspirational!

I remember when I went to America, summer 2008, I watched the news and followed the speeches that were made by and for Obama. I particularly liked his wife's. She drew me to politics more than anything ever has. She explained how much of an amazing person Obama was, his childhood, his family life and Barack Obama personally.
He truly does come across as an inspirational figure.
His voice is so powerful! It reminds me of Nelson Mandela's. You could feel a hidden power within his voice...

I do believe it is time for a change in the world.. Obama seems to be the catalyst for it.

Facebook? Myspace?

Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, etc.
Whats the difference?
I really don't see why they don't just use one..
I'm writing about this as I just had an interesting conversation with a friend, outlining the difference..
Firstly, the age groups are so different.
Stereotypically:
Bebo - younger generation, people aged 15 and younger
Myspace - 15- 24 year old
Facebook - 16 years +

I'd prefer to rule out Bebo in this post as I haven't the slightest idea about it and Facebook and Myspace are the popular ones.

Images and videos seem to be a huge part of the social networking system.
It's interesting how the users of each networking website use the two differently.
Myspace is a strict "photo comment for photo comment" layout, and now they've added the "Tagging" feature (which Facebook has used for a much longer time), so this leads to different users tagging themselves in photos which they don't even exist in.
Facebook on the other hand, you tag yourself in a photo which you exist in, or someone else is guaranteed to. The comments on the photos begin as a simple comment, then lead into conversations, sometimes leading off the subject of the photo completely. I think it's quite amusing! It also feels as though people don't feel obliged to have to "comment back".

The bulletin board on Myspace is probably the best feature. Although, I'm pretty certain it's not used for the initial purpose, ha ha. Many people post a bulletin asking people to "PC4PC" - photo comment for photo comment. Whereas the majority tend to post questions and answers, which reveal things about their personality, day, thoughts. Is it really safe to be exposing the details of your day? Upcoming events? Identity?

Facebook's status updates surely attract attention!
The comments received due to the status updates can go on for days! ..Once again, the comments lead into conversations!

Facebook! Oh Facebook, the lack of privacy for photos! Definitely something that needs to be changed.

Groups on Facebook seem to attract more popularity than groups on Myspace. Pointless, indeed. However, they're addictive! You tend to join them, and never look back at them.

I think the biggest disadvantage of both websites are that they may expose much too much information.

So, my question to you, Facebook or Myspace?
This is an issue I also debated on KIC FM, the radio station I volunteer at :)
